DDH Results from Sanu Filanan and X-Vein

March 29th, 2005 - News Release

Sanu Filanan
Cassidy Gold Corp (CDY:TSX-V) is pleased to announce results from ongoing diamond drilling on the Sanu Filanan deposit and X-Vein Zone on its 100% owned Kouroussa Property in Guinea, West Africa. Five diamond drill holes, KD142 to KD146, totalling 823 metres, continue to extend mineralization to the northwest along the Sanu Filanan structure. Highlights include 21.86 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au) over 3.75 metres in KD143 and 3.16 g/t Au over 3.80 metres in KD144 (see Table 1). The five drill holes indicate the presence of multiple mineralized structures within a broad zone of shearing, close to surface. Highlights of diamond drill results are as follows:

X-Vein Zone
The diamond drill was moved from the north Sanu Filanan to X-Vein and completed 17 drill holes totalling 2442 metres along approximately 330 metres of the X-Vein trend. This program was designed to confirm continuity and grade of the structure along strike and to depth, and to analyze the structural controls to the mineralized zones. Highlights of previous drilling (XV001 - XV007) include 4.32 g/t Au over 7.8 metres in XV001 and 151.8 g/t Au over 2.0 metres in XV004.

Results have now been received for diamond drill holes XV008 - XV017 (see Table 2). Highlights include 9.05 g/t Au over 3.45 metres in XV008, 5.67 g/t Au over 3.2 metres in XV012, 13.74 g/t Au over 6.5 metres in XV013, 16.58 g/t Au over 4.0 metres in XV015 and 3.39 g/t Au over 7.0 metres in XV016. A more complete summary of results is presented in Table 2. Continuity of the mineralized X-Vein structure is strong over 300 metres strike and to 100 metres depth and remains open in all directions. Structurally, the zone appears to be subvertical to steeply west-dipping.

JJ Zone
Two diamond drill holes were recently completed under reverse circulation drill hole KRC027 (23.73 g/t Au over 14.0 metres), 250 metres southeast of the current limit of the JJ Vein. Core samples have been sent for assay. Diamond drilling has now been stopped for a planned 3 week break. RC drilling, however, will continue northeast of the JJ Zone before moving over to Sodyanfe.

Sampling and Assay Procedures
All drill core samples were split using a rock saw over sample lengths of 0.5 to 1.5 metres. Holes are drilled with HQ rods through the saprolite and reduced to NQ size once in bedrock, typically between 40 and 100 metres depth. All samples were sent to ABILAB Afrique de l'Ouest in Bamako, Mali for fire assay using a 50-gram subsample. High-grade samples were checked by reassaying the same pulp. A gravimetric finish was used on all samples assaying over 10 g/t Au and some samples assaying over 4 g/t Au. Several high values were checked by taking a second split from the sample rejects and fire assaying with both AAS and gravimetric finishes.
