JJ Zone
Two diamond drill holes were recently completed under reverse circulation drill hole KRC027
(23.73 g/t Au over 14.0 metres), 250 metres southeast of the
current limit of the JJ Vein. Core samples have been sent for assay. Diamond drilling has
now been stopped for a planned 3 week break. RC drilling, however, will continue northeast
of the JJ Zone before moving over to Sodyanfe.
Sampling and Assay Procedures
All drill core samples were split using a rock saw over sample lengths of 0.5 to 1.5 metres.
Holes are drilled with HQ rods through the saprolite and reduced to NQ size once in bedrock,
typically between 40 and 100 metres depth. All samples were sent to ABILAB Afrique de l'Ouest
in Bamako, Mali for fire assay using a 50-gram subsample. High-grade samples were checked by
reassaying the same pulp. A gravimetric finish was used on all samples assaying over 10 g/t Au
and some samples assaying over 4 g/t Au. Several high values were checked by taking a second
split from the sample rejects and fire assaying with both AAS and gravimetric finishes.
