Cassidy confirms Kouroussa high grades and continuity

Mr. James Gillis reports
CASSIDY GOLD CORP.: POSITIVE DDH RESULTS FROM JJ AND X-VEIN
Cassidy Gold Corp. has released the results of diamond drilling on the JJ and X-Vein zones, on
its 100-per-cent-owned Kouroussa property in Guinea, West Africa.
X-Vein zone
Seven diamond drill holes, XV018 to XV024, totalling 834 metres, tested the X-Vein, confirming
high grades and continuity over a strike length of over 300 metres. Highlights include 79.75
grams per tonne gold over 2.0 metres in XV018, 19.93 grams per tonne gold over 5.5 metres in
XV021 and 5.30 grams per tonne gold over 7.4 metres in XV022. High grades are hosted in
brecciated grey to smoky quartz veining hosted in mafic volcanic rocks.
Two holes, XV019 and XV020, tested an alteration zone in the footwall (east side) of the main
X-Vein structure, returning only weakly anomalous results. To date, 24 diamond drill holes
totalling 3,428 metres, have demonstrated that the structure is continuous and well mineralized.
The zone remains open along strike (north and south) and to depth. Further trenching is planned
to better expose the vein, and detailed mapping and channel sampling will allow more complete
modelling of the mineralized zone.
JJ zone
Two diamond drill holes, KD147 to KD148, totalling 232 metres, tested the southern extension of
the JJ zone, confirming a strongly clay-altered and mineralized quartz structure in vicinity of
a previously released RC hole. KRC027 intersected 17.58 grams per tonne gold over 19.0 metres
approximately 200 metres southeast of previous diamond drilling. Diamond drilling highlights
include 2.08 grams per tonne gold (grams per tonne gold) over 16.5 metres in KD147 and 2.56
grams per tonne gold over 3.0 metres in KD148 (see table 2).
Diamond drilling is scheduled to resume on April 22. Meanwhile, reverse-circulation (RC)
drilling is testing the Sodyanfe zone, two kilometres to the west. Soil geochemical surveys
have now been completed immediately west of Sanu Filanan and over the Kinkine area, three
kilometres to the north. Currently, soil sampling is covering the north half of the Kouroussa
permit area, including artisanal digging sites at Benegban, 15 kilometres north of Sanu Filanan.
Sampling and assay procedures
All drill core samples were split using a rock saw over sample lengths of 0.5 to 1.5 metres.
Holes are drilled with HQ rods through the saprolite and reduced to NQ size once in bedrock,
typically between 20 and 80 metres in depth. All samples were sent to ABILAB Afrique de l'Ouest
in Bamako, Mali, for fire assay using a 50-gram subsample. High-grade samples were checked by
reassaying the same pulp. A gravimetric finish was used on all samples assaying over 10 grams
per tonne gold and some samples assaying over four grams per tonne gold. Several high values
were checked by taking a second split from the sample rejects and fire assaying with both AAS
and gravimetric finishes.
Personnel
The exploration team in Guinea consists of project manager, Marc-Andre Boudreau, BSc, Marthe
Archambault, MSc, PGeo, and Maxime Dupere, BSc. Christopher J. Wild, PEng, vice-president of
exploration for Cassidy Gold Corp., is the qualified person for this news.
