Cassidy crosses 2.13 gpt Au over 12 m on Junction zone
2006-03-30 18:11 ET - News Release
Mr. James Gillis reports
Cassidy Gold Corp. has provided additional results from continuing reverse circulation (RC)
drilling on its 100-per-cent-owned Kouroussa project, located in Guinea, West Africa. A program
of 16 RC holes totalling 1,371 metres stepped 200 metres to the southwest and 120 metres to the
northeast along strike. Highlights include: 1.19 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) over 20 metres
in KRC836; 1.20 g/t Au over 20 metres in KRC841; and 2.13 g/t Au over 12 metres in KRC842.
Junction zone
A program of resource drilling was completed on the Junction zone, totalling 1,371 metres in 16
RC drill holes. Two holes, 30 metres apart, were completed on sections spaced every 40 metres
along strike, extending mineralization 120 metres to the northeast and 200 metres to the
southwest. Holes KRC833 -- KRC840 fill-in from the southwest and KRC843 -- KRC848 step-out to
the northeast.
Highlights toward Sodyanfe (Bag Farm and Ridge zones) to the southwest include: 1.77 g/t Au
over 5.0 metres in KRC839; 1.20 g/t Au over 20.0 metres in KRC841; 0.96 g/t Au over 13.0 metres
in KRC837; 1.46 g/t Au over 10.0 metres in KRC835; 1.19 g/t Au over 20.0 metres in KRC836; 1.25
g/t Au over 7.0 metres in KRC834; and 2.28 g/t Au over 5.0 metres in KRC833 on the
southwesternmost section. Previously released aircore drill results include 0.98 g/t Au over
20 metres in KRAB331 and 0.62 g/t Au over 16 metres in KRAB332, approximately 100 metres south
of KRC834, and 1.94 g/t Au over seven metres in KRAB338 and 1.56 g/t Au over 52 metres in
KRAB340, approximately 350 metres farther southwest. Further step-out drill holes will continue
to test this trend.

To the northeast, highlights include 0.84 g/t Au over 17.0 metres in KRC844 and 1.50 g/t Au
over 3.0 metres in KRC846. These results show Junction zone mineralization weakens to the
northeast. Reported lengths in RC holes approximate true thicknesses.
Exploration program
The RC drill has just completed five holes on the new Kinkine zone to confirm the geometry and
continuity of mineralization recently announced by Cassidy Gold, including 2.40 g/t Au over
75.0 metres. The RC drill has moved to Sanu Folo to test extensions to mineralization there.
In the meantime, Cassidy Gold is planning a significant resource drill program at Kinkine.
Further step-out drilling is also planned for Junction.
A total of 1,503 metres in 12 diamond drill holes was just completed at the Sanu Folo zone.
Drilling has moved to Junction. Core holes are also planned for Bag Farm, Manie and Kinkine.
Core drilling will be used to assess the structural geology, lithology and alteration, and to
collect samples for bulk density determinations and metallurgical testwork.
The aircore rig has been sent north to Benegban to test a significant soil
geochemical anomaly and artisanal dig site. Preparations are nearly complete to then move the
aircore rig to Dalaoule and Banjounani in the western portion of the Tambiko permit. Airborne
magnetics and soil geochemical anomalies, coupled with widespread artisanal mining activity
make Dalaoule a priority target. Soil geochemistry is planned for north and east of Dalaoule,
and west of Benegban. Currently, a crew is conducting a soil geochemical survey at Karikarissa,
30 kilometres northeast of Sanu Filanan.
Sampling and assay procedures
RC and aircore drill samples were collected from the cyclone and split or pipe sampled to
one-kilogram size. All samples were sent to the SGS analytical laboratory in Siguiri, Guinea,
for fire assay using a 50-gram subsample. Samples assaying greater than five g/t gold are
reassayed using a metallics screen technique. Repeat assays are made on every 25th sample, and
duplicates and blanks are submitted, one each in every 20 samples. Quality control/quality
assurance is closely monitored by RSG Global personnel.
Personnel
Project manager, Nick Hewson, of RSG Global, heads the exploration team in Guinea. Christopher
J. Wild, PEng, vice-president, exploration, for Cassidy Gold, is currently in Kouroussa, and is
the qualified person for this release.
